Comedy great Fred Willard starred as the bartender and owner of DC Follies – a bar located in Washington DC. The puppet versions of the Who’s Who of politics and Hollywood frequented Fred’s bar.
Trivia:
Richard Nixon’s puppet was featured regularly and DC Follies seemed to have helped restore the reputation of the beleaguered politician.
Marty would threaten potential guests that if they didn’t come on D.C. Follies he would simply make a puppet of them.
