Marty Krofft approached CBS with the idea of Richard Pryor doing a children’s show. They said, “If you can get him we’ll give you the show!”
Later, at a press conference, Richard Pryor was asked why he agreed to do the show, and Richard said, “It’s easier to say “yes” to Marty Krofft than it is to say ‘no.’”
